Singer Releases New Recording of Franz Schubert's 'Die schöne Müllerin'

HOLIDAY, FL, February 03, 2012 /24-7PressRelease/ -- American tenor Bryce Westervelt and noted pianist R. Timothy McReynolds announce the release of a new recording of Franz Schubert's masterpiece Die schöne Müllerin. Westervelt's recording debut comprises the highly lauded twenty-song cycle.

Produced by Westervelt and McReynolds, along with Antonino d'Urzo of Opusrite, the CD was recorded in the Elsie and Marvin Dekelboum Concert Hall in the Clarice Smith Performing Arts Center at the University of Maryland in 2010.

The independent release was made possible through a Kickstarter.com funding campaign undertaken in early 2010. Utilizing the innovative micro-funding website, the artists raised over $7,500 toward their project from more than 150 project backers.

The newly released German Lieder collection is independently distributed by CDBaby.com and is available at a number of online retailers, including Amazon.com and iTunes.com.
