Rolf Kempf Plays In The Key Of Stanford Who's Who
Stanford Who's Who welcomes Rolf Kempf to the ranks of leading professionals as a result of his magnificent work in the Music Industry.

SURREY, BC, CANADA, July 28, 2011 /Stanford Who's Who/ -- Stanford Who's Who welcomes Rolf Kempf to the ranks of leading professionals as a result of his work in the Music Industry. As Owner and Publisher of RPK Music, as well as throughout his whole professional career, Rolf has routinely demonstrated consistent quality, originality, and instinctive insight in his material and performance to be considered among the best.

Rolf is an incredibly talented musician who has been writing and performing music for over 40 years. His song, "Hello, Hurray" was first recorded by Judy Collins in 1969, along with songs by Leonard Cohen, Bob Dylan, and Ian Tyson, as well as later by Meg Christian, then by Rolf himself in 1993, on the ESP Disk, "Daydreamer." "Hello, Hurray" was the first single on shock rocker Alice Cooper's highly successful album, Billion Dollar Babies. The song went to #1 in Germany and #2 in England, and is also included on Alice Cooper's Greatest Hits, as well as a more recent Rhino DVD.

Rolf has since written and produced many songs in an eclectic style that combines original rock, blues, jazz, pop, and world music. He performs live with vocals, guitar, piano, and keyboards with improvisation being a major element of his show. Most of Rolf's recording is done live in his studio with the occasional overdub of slide guitar or violin. His 14 CD's are all available through CDBaby and his latest EP, Sweetness is currently in worldwide digital distribution through JMD Distribution, in co-operation with Universal Worldwide, and iTunes among other distributors. He studied Music Theory for two years with Gordon Delamont and is a member of the Vancouver Musicians Association and UBCP (ACTRA).

In the future, Rolf hopes to get involved with scoring music for movies and TV, as well as providing sound design for theatre and dance productions.
