The Bangkok Symphony Orchestra will be treating audiences to a series of free outdoor concerts from December 2011 to February 2012.

MANCHESTER, ENGLAND, December 07, 2011 /24-7PressRelease/ -- The Bangkok Symphony Orchestra (BSO) is to provide a Sunday evening treat for local audiences over the coming months with the Concert in the Park series.
 
Commencing on December 18th, the engagement will consist of eight separate performances, held on a weekly basis each Sunday at 17:30 local time until February 12th 2012 at Sala Bhirom Bhakdi in Lumpini Park.
 
Families have been invited to come together in the peaceful and tranquil setting to listen to the BSO play everything from popular classical pieces to movie soundtrack excerpts, Broadway hits and famous Thai songs, with guest vocalists supporting the orchestra.
 
Best of all, each performance is free to attend, giving Bangkok visitors plenty of reason to bring their picnic hampers and enjoy the ambience.
 
The BSO was founded 28 years ago and operates under the patronage of His Royal Highness Crown Prince Maha Vajiralongkorn, with the stated aim of bringing the joys of classical music to the Thai people.
 
Its Concert in the Park series is among its most popular events, attracting crowds of around 2,500 people to each show.
