Brooklyn musician Monet Cherise has recorded a CD and is working on a documentary film
BROOKLYN, NY, October 14, 2011 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Monet Cherise, Actress, Director, Musician, Singer and Songwriter at Nyamekye Songs LLC, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in the arts.
Ms. Cherise is a composer who has been influenced by jazz, neo soul, Latin, classical, folk, house and funk music. She, in partnership with the Purpose Music Group, LLC oversees all aspects of her entertainment company, Nyamekye Songs LLC, including marketing, bookings and financial matters. Monet's new album "LifeSize Mirror" distributed through Nia Distribution was released on October 11, 2011.
Born into a family of entertainers, Ms. Cherise attributes her success to the support of her family. She holds a master's degree in special education from Adelphi University and a bachelor's degree in theater from Vassar College. She is a member of AFTRA, WGA, SAG, and SESAC. Looking ahead, Ms. Cherise intends to release her documentary, Will 2 Survive, and have it become a feature film.
Monet's next performance will be at Franks Cocktail Lounge in Brooklyn on Saturday, Oct 22nd at 8:30p.m.
