The Malaysia Mega Sale Carnival was inspired by a similar event in Singapore and has proved to be such a hit that the country has chosen to keep organising it.

Running until August 31st, travellers looking to spend their holiday money on bargains should keep an eye out for the promotion's symbol in stores and shopping malls.

In a statement, the organisers remarked: "The most-awaited sale is back! Get everything from designer labels, home decor items, computer peripherals to electrical appliances at irresistible prices."

If people are in Kuala Lumpur, some recommended places to check out include Bukit Bintang, Berjaya Square and Suria KLCC.

As well as international brands, a number of local shops will be participating in the Malaysia Mega Sale Carnival. However, the full programme of which stores are taking part has not yet been published.
