The O2 Academy in Bournemouth will welcome pop starlet Eliza Doolittle on April 12th.

BOURNEMOUTH, ENGLAND, March 09, 2011 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Fans of Eliza Doolittle have an opportunity to see the pop singer perform live in Bournemouth next month.

The 22-year-old star is due to play Bournemouth's O2 Academy on Tuesday April 12th as part of her biggest headline tour to date.

Doolittle is still riding high off the success of her self-titled debut album, which was released in July 2010 and went gold within four weeks.

The LP invited comparisons with fellow Londoner Lily Allen's first effort due to its breezy melodies and vintage samples.

Having scored a top ten smash with the single Pack Up last summer, Doolittle is preparing a fresh assault on the charts with new track Mr Medicine, which will be released as a single on March 7th.

She will be supported at the south coast venue by emerging Brighton duo Rizzle Kicks, who describe their sound as a fusion of indie and hip-hop.

Tickets for the gig are available online for GBP12.77 plus booking fee. Doors will open at 19:00 GMT.
