Hotels-London.co.uk - See Cause Celebre at London's Old Vic
Cause Celebre is being staged at London's Old Vic this spring.
LONDON, ENGLAND, March 20, 2011 /24-7PressRelease/ -- London's Old Vic theatre is staging a production of the dramatic Sir Terence Rattigan play Cause Celebre, with Shameless star Anne-Marie Duff taking the lead role.
While fans of the Channel Four series may know her best for her television roles, the actress has also appeared in several films and won awards for her stage work.
Cause Celebre is directed by Thea Sharrock and will run until June 11th.
"Based on the true story of Alma Rattenbury who went on trial with her 18-year-old lover for the murder of her husband, Cause Celebre is an intriguing tale of love, betrayal, loyalty and obsession," explained a source from the venue.
Sir Terence wrote the play in 1977, the same year he passed away.
The Browning Version, The Winslow Boy and Separate Tables are among the playwright's most famous pieces.
Start times for performances vary depending on the day, but both evening and matinee shows are available.
Ticket prices start from GBP10.
Hotels-London.co.uk hosts a huge variety of London hotels that may appeal to theatre-goers, with the website recommending accommodation such as the Dorset Square Hotel London and The Lancaster London Hotel.
