Blithe Spirit will see Alison Steadman take on the part of Madame Arcati at London's Apollo Theatre.

LONDON, ENGLAND, March 04, 2011 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Noel Coward's Blithe Spirit is set to be performed in London over the coming months, with British actress Alison Steadman taking on a key role in the theatre production.

Running from March 2nd until June 18th 2011 at the Apollo Theatre, the show will see the Gavin and Stacey star play the part of Madame Arcati.

Her character is a clairvoyant, who uses her powers to contact a ghost in order to help a writer and his second wife find material for a new book.

Unfortunately for novelist Charles, played by Robert Bathurst, the spirit who appears is that of his ex-wife Elvira.

Steadman and Bathurst will be joined on stage by Hermione Norris as Charles's second wife.

All three stars of the play are likely to be familiar to audiences, due to their work on stage and screen.

Tickets for the show are priced at between GBP20 and GBP65, with matinee performances beginning at 14:30 local time and evening acts commencing at 19:30.
