My Dad's A Birdman by David Almond will be performed in London this Christmas and will boast a score by the Pet Shop Boys.

LONDON, ENGLAND, November 28, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Travellers with London hotel bookings could enjoy a night at the theatre by getting tickets for My Dad's A Birdman at the Young Vic.

This family-friendly production offers audiences an uplifting story and music by Neil Tennant and Chris Lowe of veteran pop act the Pet Shop Boys.

Written by David Almond, the tale sees a girl and her father preparing to take off at the Great Human Bird Competition, but the pair must overcome a variety of obstacles before they can take part.

The show is on from November 25th 2010 until January 1st 2011 and could be a great activity for families staying at nearby accommodation such as the Tophams Belgravia Hotel London who want to get in the Christmas spirit.

Although the performance is recommended for the under-10s, Mr Almond's story is likely to be popular with a much wider audience thanks to the fun plot.

Tickets for the show cost GBP10 for an adult and GBP8 for children, with the passes available to buy from the box office or online.
