Stanford Who's Who Awards Peggy McCay For Her Extraordinary Work As An Entertainer
Peggy McCay has been recognized by Stanford Who's Who for her extraordinary work in the Entertainment Industry.


LOS ANGELES, CA, January 27, 2010 /Stanford Who's Who/ -- Peggy McCay has been recognized by Stanford Who's Who for her extraordinary work in the Entertainment Industry. As Owner of Peggoty- Mac Art Attack Music as well as throughout her famed acting career, Peggy has consistently performed at a magnificent level.

In addition to her extremely successful acting career, Peggy runs an independent record label known as Peggoty - Mac Attack Music. The Album, Lost in the Cracks of the Modern World by Kevin Kelly was released in 2008, and is a great mixture of sweet, tough, rock 'n roll, roots music & the howling cry of a real poet-storyteller.

Peggy currently plays the Matriarch Carolyn Brady on the extremely successful daytime drama, Days of Our Lives. Her exceptional acting has earned her five Emmy Award nominations, including being the only actress to receive two nominations in the same year. McCay took home the statue in 1991 for her spectacular performance as a homeless woman in The Trials of Rosie O'Neill. For the same performance she also obtained a special award from the John Henry Foundation which read: "For your dignified and perceptive depiction of mental illness."

McCay received her training at the Actor's Studio, Barnard College and Columbia University. She is currently authoring a book.
