Kara L. Harmon Inducted into Cambridge Who's Who
Kara L. Harmon is an award-winning costume designer and has worked on numerous Broadway productions
BROOKLYN, NY, January 04, 2010, Kara L. Harmon, Costume Designer, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for demonstrating dedication, leadership and excellence in costume design.
As an independent costume designer, Ms. Harmon is responsible for assisting Paul Tazewell in designing all the costumes for the upcoming Broadway production "Memphis." Prior to joining the "Memphis" creative team, she worked as an assistant at The Juilliard School and as a costume intern at Silvercup Studios. She attributes her success to the support she receives from her family and friends.
Ms. Harmon received her master of fine arts in costume design from New York University in 2009 /24-7PressRelease/ --and her bachelor of fine arts in theatrical production arts and costume design from Ithaca College in 2005. She has been honored with the Jane Woods Werly Scholarship Award and won First Place in Costume Design at the Southeastern Theatre Conference in 2005. She aspires to design her own stage production either off or on Broadway.
