Hotels-London.co.uk - London to Stage The Glass Menagerie
The Glass Menagerie is being performed at the Young Vic and is sure to keep London audiences captivated from start to finish.
LONDON, ENGLAND, September 30, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Theatregoers may wish to start organising a trip to London, as the Tennessee Williams story The Glass Menagerie is being performed in the English capital.
Running from November 11th 2010 until January 1st 2011, this stunning play is sure to pull at the heartstrings and offer plenty of take-home value.
It tells the story of a family in the 1930s and is described by the organisers as Williams's first Broadway success.
They remarked: "The subject of this deeply touching, autobiographical play is the most fragile of all human emotions - hope."
During the story, son Tom must deal with his obsessive sister and "overbearing" mother as they each deal with their distinct issues.
As well as being treated to the wonderful story by Williams, the whole production is backed by a score composed by Dario Marianelli, who has previously written music for Atonement and Pride and Prejudice, winning an Oscar and Golden Globe for his work.
The play is being staged at the Young Vic, which should be easy to get to from whichever London hotel visitors are staying at, since the venue is close to Waterloo - a well connected transport hub.
Tickets for the show cost between GBP10 and GBP27.50. Evening performances begin at 19:30 BST, while matinee showings - where available - start at 14:30.
