MILAN, ITALY, July 21, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ -- A fascinating exhibition entitled When the Costumes Wear Music is being shown at one of the most important musical venues in Milan.

Running until September 12th 2010, tourists staying at one of the luxury hotels Milan has to offer may be blown away by the chance to get closer to the productions at the La Scala - which Time Out praises for its "splendour".

It is at this prestigious facility where the display is being showcased, with all sorts of garments and other miscellaneous items.

According to the La Scala, a lot of what is on show at When the Costumes Wear Music will have been worn during several of the biggest productions to take place at the venue.

This includes such momentous titles as Sleeping Beauty, Faust, Tosca, Don Carlo and Tatjana.

"The exhibition features more than 50 costumes, chosen among some of the most significant pieces made for opera and ballet by the workshops of La Scala," explained the organisers.

In their view, the display of these garments - many of which are made using traditional methods - is a tribute to the work of those who created the clothes.

It costs nothing to enter the exhibition, with doors open from 09:30 to 17:30 local time from Tuesday to Sunday.
