De Vondalyn P. Hughes Inducted into Cambridge Who's Who
De Vondalyn P. Hughes founded Patterson Academy for the Arts, focused on traditional values

JACKSONVILLE, FL, August 26, 2009 /24-7PressRelease/ -- De Vondalyn P. Hughes, Founder and Executive Director of Patterson Academy for the Arts, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for demonstrating dedication, leadership and excellence in education.

Patterson Academy for the Arts is a charter high school that provides visual arts and performing arts education for at-risk high school students. It centers on traditional values and goes by the motto, "make your mark." Ms. Hughes has always had a love for education and established the academy in honor of her grandmother, Gloria Delores Patterson. She attributes her success to her faith.

Ms. Hughes received her Master of Education in Curriculum and Instruction, Master's Degree in Educational Leadership from the University of Phoenix and Bachelor of Arts in English Literature from Florida State University. She is a member of Duval Teachers United and intends to open a second school, in the future.
