TalentTrove, a talent site devoted to its members exposure has announced the winner of its Best Singer Solo contest.
ISELIN, NJ, May 20, 2009 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Global online talent community has announced the winner for its Best Singer Solo contest. The contest was implemented to display the site's most talented singers and to also bring new members to it.
Wendy Hayes, a 42-year-old singer from North Carolina won first prize for her rendition of Peggy Lee's, Fever. The contest asked for participants to upload their audio or video files demonstrating their vocal flairs.
With over 39 percent of the votes, Wendy's sultry vocal style well surpassed the other four finalists. She has been performing professionally since 1999 in clubs and lounges all over the world, even headlining cruise ships. Wendy has also received her Masters of Music in Vocal Performance from Appalachian State University. Wendy hopes the next stage of her career will allow her to make her own full-length album displaying her singing talent.
TalentTrove.com began offering contests on its Web site in April 2009 and new challenges are issued weekly. Only members of the free site are allowed to partake in the competitions. Money and prizes are awarded to the winner.
