Douglas Mattocks Inducted into the National Four-String Banjo Hall of Fame and the Oklahoma Jazz Hall of Fame
FULLERTON, CA, April 28, 2009 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Douglas Mattocks, Producer and Entertainer for Mattocks Productions, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in all aspects of entertainment.
Douglas Mattocks has 40 years of professional experience and specializes in composing music and playing the banjo and the guitar. An accomplished entertainer, he commands the stage playing guitar and banjo, among other instruments, and telling stories with comedic twists. He is one of the few people to master both the four-string and five-string banjo. A member of the Rhythm Brothers ensemble, he was inducted into the National Four-String Banjo Hall of Fame as well as the Oklahoma Jazz Hall of Fame in 2005.
Prior to his solo career, Mr. Mattocks performed at Disneyland for 15 years, during which time he was involved in the inauguration of Disneyland in Tokyo. He considers performing at the Grand Ole Opry and the White House for Ronald Reagan to be his greatest professional accomplishments. He attributes his success to his hard work, dedication and love for music. Mr. Mattocks is a member of the Western Alliance of Arts Administrators and the Pacific Northwest Association.
