WESTPORT, CT, January 25, 2009 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Joyce L. Thompson, Arts Administrator for the Westport Arts Center, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in educating the public about the arts.

Mrs. Thompson's interest in art is well-known to the residents of Westport and its surrounding communities. She has held many positions at the Westport Arts Center, including president and has immersed herself in all things artistic. Currently, as Arts Administrator, she is responsible for organizing visual and performing arts events, scheduling chamber concerts and organizing fundraising events. She also enjoys helping with the installation of exhibits and other behind-the-scene tasks that make the Westport Arts Center an invaluable visual and performing arts organization, one dedicated to creating arts experiences that contribute to individual growth and enrich the community.

The project entailed raising a significant amount of money for major construction and repairs.
