Cambridge Who's Who Names Dr. Diane Howard Professional of the Year in Communication and Media Studies
McGraw Hill Inc. has published her three books on communication and performance studies.

/Performing Arts News Articles/ - Belton, TX, June 21, 2008, Dr. Diane Howard, Professor of Communication and Performance Studies for the Department of Communication and Media Studies at the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor, has been named Cambridge Who's Who Professional of the Year in Communication and Media Studies. While inclusion in the Cambridge Who's Who Registry is an honor, only a small selection of members in each discipline are chosen for this distinction. These special honorees are distinguished based on their professional accomplishments, academic achievements, leadership abilities, years of service, and the credentials they have provided in association with their Cambridge Who's Who membership.

Dr. Howard has more than 40 years of professional experience. She has been involved regionally, nationally, and internationally in onsite and online teaching, presenting, writing, publishing, performing, and film producing. McGraw Hill Inc. has published her three books on communication and performance studies. She is currently working on her fourth book.

Professor Howard has earned the following degrees: Ph.D. in Curriculum and Instruction, Communication, and Performance Studies from the University of Texas at Austin; Master of Education Degree in Curriculum and Instruction, Performing Arts from the University of Washington; and Bachelor of Arts Degree in English and Music from the University of Oregon in 1969. She stays current with trends in her profession by reading Text and Performance Quarterly and National Communication Association publications.
