Superbreak launch ticket and accommodation offer to see the Lord of the Rings musical at London's Drury Lane
/Performing Arts News Articles/ - YORK, ENGLAND - June 02, 2007 - The award winning Lord of the Rings movie trilogy took the world by storm and now the stage show is set to do the same! Currently previewing at the Theatre Royal Drury Lane and due to open officially on 19 June, an international creative team has condensed JRR Tolkien's entire Rings saga into an unmissable theatrical event.
With a full ensemble of over 70 actors, singers and musicians, a 40-ton rotating stage lift that falls in 17 different sections, 19 musicians, 60 crew working behind the scenes, 504 costumes and 256 costume changes each show, the Lord of the Rings theatre show is set to be one of the most ambitious theatrical productions ever staged.
Costing over 25 million to bring to London, and packed with singing, dancing, flying, fighting, acrobatics, stilt-walking, special effects and a whole host of hobbiting around, this is the most expensive musical ever stage outside Las Vegas.
Following on from a year of record-breaking performances across London, theatre breaks specialist, Superbreak, is expecting a huge demand for tickets to the new show. The latest Superbreak offers to become available are intended to make it easier for visitors to be able to see the guaranteed blockbuster of a show with the minimum of hassle. The range of newly launched packages which Superbreak have organized include pre-booked tickets combined with overnight hotel accommodation in central London, at a wide range of hotels near the Theatre Royal, like the three star Royal National Hotel or the four star Thistle Euston hotel.
While J.R.R. Tolkien's tale of Frodo and the fellowship of the Ring's journey through Middle Earth to the summit of Mount Doom is one of trial and tribulation on an epic scale, Superbreak are looking to provide theatre goers with a much more relaxed experience.
