NYC Performing Arts Spaces: Growing Nonprofit Service Organization Announces New Name
Organization's mission to resolve performing artists' ongoing need for suitable New York City rehearsal and performance spaces is better reflected in new name

/Performing Arts News Articles/ - NEW YORK, NY, January 21, 2006 — NYC Performing Arts Spaces is the new name of nonprofit organization Exploring the Metropolis, Inc. The organization's focus on filling the New York City space needs of performers in dance, music and theatre is more accurately reflected in its new name. Its redesigned website is available at www.nycPASpaces.org.

NYC Performing Arts Spaces' websites provide detailed information about hundreds of rentable performance, rehearsal and audition spaces suited for the performing arts. Dancers and musicians can use the NYC Performing Arts Spaces' websites to locate the spaces that best meet their budgetary and artistic needs, saving them valuable time and money. In addition, facilities can generate needed income by publicizing their available spaces on the websites.

NYC Performing Arts Spaces is the only nonprofit organization that focuses solely on resolving performing artists' needs for rehearsal and performance space. Its two existing websites have changed their names to NYC Music Spaces (www.nycMusicSpaces.org) and NYC Dance Spaces (www.nycDanceSpaces.org). Its third website, NYC Theatre Spaces, serving the space needs of the theatre and literary communities, will debut in 2006.

All programs and services provided by NYC Performing Arts Spaces are free of charge to both users and listing facilities. No membership or registration is required.
